Prof. Luka Powanga

Dr. Luka Powanga is a globally recognized visionary, thought leader, and creative problem solver. He has an extensive background in academia, having developed and taught courses across logistics, economics, finance, international business, strategy, and commercialization. As a pioneer of the Online MBA Program at Regis University, he helped it grow to over 4,000 students, chaired the MBA program, and played a key role in establishing specialized programs like the Physicians MBA and joint degrees with institutions such as Management Concepts, ITESO University (Mexico), and Ulster University (Ireland). Dr. Powanga was also instrumental in founding the Sullivan Center for Entrepreneurship at Regis University and served on the program evaluation committee.

Dr. Powanga has chaired, keynoted, and organized numerous national and international conferences, contributing regularly to global renewable energy reports. His expertise has been sought by media outlets including 9News and AllAfrica.com. As the founder of the Energy Africa Conference, a leading event focused on Africa’s energy future, Dr. Powanga connects global investors to African energy projects. He also founded and hosts the Executive Speaker Night Series at Regis University.

A founding member of the Denver Chapter of the Angel Capital Group, Dr. Powanga has been involved in numerous boards that aim to advance business and uplift underserved communities. His passion lies in creating positive, lasting change to make the world a better place for all.
