Mamotake C. Matekane, a dual citizen of Lesotho and South Africa, pursued her education in the Republic of South Africa, where she earned a B.Com in Accounting from the University of Free State. Committed to expanding her corporate governance expertise, she furthered her studies with qualifications in Project Management from Wits Business School and Investment Management from the University of Cape Town. She also holds certifications in civil aviation, adding to her diverse skill set. Her dedication and leadership have led her to executive roles across multiple companies, where she continues to demonstrate her impact as a vibrant and reliable contributor.
Mamotake’s broad expertise spans aviation, mining, pharmaceuticals, hospitality, business development, and manufacturing, making her a well-rounded executive. She sits on various boards in Lesotho and South Africa, including the Lesotho National Development Corporation, Matekane Group of Companies, and others. As an advocate for women in African business, she established The Lady M Foundation, which supports the empowerment of youth in Lesotho. Currently, she holds positions as CEO at Organica Global Brands, COO at Matekane Group of Companies, and Head of Business Development at Mergence Group Sub-Sahara Africa, with additional consulting work in infrastructure, financial services, and public-private partnerships across the SADC and East African regions.
